Service description

Laika Connectivity is based on premium SMS, the most widely used mobile micro-payment system in the World. The company's SMS gateway is connected to all relevant mobile network operators in Russia and the Baltic countries. The service provider signs a connectivity agreement with Laika Mobile Connectivity Ltd and gets connectivity access to MGateway. Laika Mobile Connectivity personnel will assist the service provider in creating the connection and testing it. After the connection is working, Laika Mobile Connectivity will maintain the connectivity and provide the service provider with operator payouts according to the agreed business model.

Content formats

Laika Connectivity service allows the sending of standard SMS as well as binary SMS required for the sending of mobile multimedia content such as WAP push messages, ring tones and images. The service naturally allows the sending of Cyrillic characters required in providing service in Russian language.

Premium Billing

Laika Connectivity is based on premium pricing of mobile originated (MO) SMS messages. Laika Mobile can offer shared and unique short-codes for the price classes $0.15–$5 in Russia and €0.5-€5 in Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania.

Reporting and financial clearing

The customers receive online tools for the monitoring of SMS traffic and Laika Mobile Connectivity provides all customers with a monthly payout settlement. Laika Mobile Connectivity will provide all payouts directly in Euros and within 60 days from the end of the service month.

Roadmap

The major Russian operators have announced that premium WAP billing will become available in 2006-2007 and Laika Mobile will offer premium WAP billing services for its customers as soon as they become available. Laika Mobile will also extend its premium SMS coverage to include Ukraine and Kazakhstan during 2007.
