About Laika Media Group

In January 1st 2006, Laika Mobile Media Ltd has acquired ownership of Jippii Mobile Entertainment's business operations in Russia, Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania.

During 2006 Laika has evolved from a traditional mobile content company into a provider of high-end Internet/mobile services for Social networks and digital content.

The company's established position in the market is based on its previous mobile content consumer service Jippii and strategic partnership with Small Planet, the leading platform provider for mobile messaging and entertainment services.

Laika's operations are supported by group of investors piloted by Small Planet Ltd, a leading provider of mobile content delivery and community products. Small Planet is also a major shareholder of the Laika.

Currently Laika has direct connectivity to over 30 mobile operators in Russia, Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania. This unique position, which has so far been in utilized only in Laika's direct-to-consumer operations, will now also be made available for other service providers so that they can get a reliable and secure access to the one of the fastest growing mobile service markets in the world.

Towards the end of 2006 Laika launched two major internet based services, My-Gallery and Laika Music.

A significant partner in funding Laika has been Small Planet's majority shareholder Access Propeller Holdings, Inc. and its majority owner Nordberg Capital Inc. As a founding financial investor of FGI Wireless, the original US partner in creating Vimpelcom, Nordberg Capital has a 13-year history in the Russian mobile market.
